The cost centers keep track of the money within the MFA. We cannot register you without this information. You can ask any administrator in your department for help finding which cost center would pay for your course.

The cost center warden is in charge of authorizing expenditures out of a cost center. We cannot register you without this information. If you charge a cost center for a course without permission of the authorizing individual, your department may not pay for the course and you may be responsible for the full cost of the course and associated course materials.

Please note the following:

  • Training requests MUST be sent at least 48 hours prior to a course -- please be aware that courses fill up quickly. Please submit requests as soon as possible to ensure you will be able to reserve a seat. If a course is no longer listed on the website, it means the course is full and has closed.

  • Per the American Heart Association, each provider card is valid for two years after successful completion of a course. Your card is valid until the end of the month in which it expires. After the month has ended, if your card has expired, you will not be eligible for a Renewal Course. (Ex: a card with an expiration date of 3/13/2013 allows you to take a Renewal Course through the end of March - 3/31/2013. Once the end of the month has passed, your card has expired and you will need to take a Full Course).

  • Per the American Heart Association, ACLS EP, ACLS, PALS, and BLS are all separate disciplines and are therefore separate certifications.

  • The GW Training Center cancellation policy remains in effect. There will be no refund for courses cancelled within 7 days prior to the course, and only a partial refund for courses cancelled within 14 days prior to the course. Course transfer requests should be directed to the GW Training Center prior to the date of the scheduled course. Course materials that have been opened are non-refundable.
